The World's Greatest Blackjack Book

Beat The Dealer

Black jack online is your good chance to understand the game better because the rules and strategies differ a bit here: choose the best black jack games for yourself to try and be a real pro of them!

Background

There are many good blackjack books available today which can act as a complete system guide on card counting. Each of these books talks about a different system and the World's Greatest Blackjack Book is no different. The book has been written by Humble and Cooper and like most other books in this genre, it talks about a card counting system which might be quite helpful to card counters and beginners who want to try their hand at card counting.

The World's Greatest Blackjack Book

The book begins with a description about the game and why it is possible for card counters to beat the casinos. It also covers the basic strategy of the game and the authors discuss topics like how to choose the right casino, interact with the dealer and many advanced topics like handling the pit bosses, dealer tells and how to make a quick exit from the casino.

The book mainly focuses on the Hi Opt 1 counting technique. This technique is a level one system where the aces are treated as a neutral card. The playing strategy has an extremely high correlation for a level one technique. For this reason, it makes it a great system to be used at single deck games where it is much easier to win money than in shoe games.

The authors also discuss the private games like the ones which are outside the casinos. There are not many books which have discussed this important topic before. The rest of the book discusses various tips, playing multiple hands, developing skills, getting junkets, choosing the games etc. Overall, the book can be considered as a comprehensive material on the game.

However, like most books, the World's Greatest Blackjack Book has its flaws too. The authors discuss in great details about dealer cheating, something which is highly impossible in today's casino environment. Cheating is not really highly prevalent in casinos today. Another problem with the book is about the claims about the Hi Opt 1 System of card counting. Though it is actually quite a good system of card counting, it is not really as superior as it is described in the book. The system is quite good for single deck games but not really for shoe games. The Hi Lo system of Stanford Wong is more powerful than this particular system and is also simpler to understand and implement since the aces do not have to be counted.

However, except for these few flaws, the book is overall a winner. The Hi Opt 1 counting system is also a winner though it does have its own flaws like most other card counting systems. Players would be well benefitted with this book and for those who have already used another system before, there is enough material in this book which is quite unique. The book is not really good for beginners since the topics which are discussed in the book are slightly advanced for beginners to be able to understand them and implement them in real life.
