Every serious blackjack player would know about the Blackjack Hall of Fame members. This hall of fame is one of the greatest honors that could be bestowed upon professional players, authors and experts in the field. It had been launched in the year 2002 and is physically based out of San Diego in California.
Background
It was in the year of 2002 that a total of 21 professional blackjack players, authors and experts were chosen as nominees for being inducted in the Blackjack Hall of Fame. The general public had been allowed to vote through the internet for around a month. In January, 2003 the final voting had been completed at the Blackjack Ball which was an event which was open only to a few select professional players and blackjack experts. The event had been hosted by Max Rubin, a noted blackjack author. The first seven members had been inducted then.
In the next year at the Blackjack Ball in the year 2004, two more inductees had been added. Again, the voting had been done by professional players at the event. Since 2006, the hall of fame added two members every year and had agreed to induct just one person each year.
However, in the year 2007 four players had been added as a group. Currently, the home of Blackjack Hall of Fame is in San Diego, California at the Barona Casino. The casino provides each member with a lifetime of free room, beverages and food. In return, the members have to agree never to play at their tables.
Though you are unlikely to become famous playing slots, it is a great way to spend time and a chance to win some cash. The selection of online casino slots keeps getting better and better. You can play games like Thunderstruck, base don the Viking legends of Thor and Oden. Or you can check out Tomb Raider – which is based on the exotic adventures of Lara Croft. New games come out all the time.
Blackjack Hall of Fame authors
Several members of the Blackjack Hall of Fame are noted authors. They have written several very well known books on the topic which are considered to be among the best in the field. Since all of the members are considered as true experts in the field, it comes as no surprise that their books too are extra ordinary. The books written by these experts provide an inside view into some interesting blackjack strategies, theories and also an insight into their life as professional blackjack players.
